Spectacle and party, London
The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Central Weekend – the official celebration – begins at 10 a.m. on June 2 at the Horse Guards Parade in central London (also shown on big screens at St. James Park and live on TV). At 9 p.m., the main beacon will be lit: a 21-meter “tree of trees” made up of 350 small trees. An additional 1,500 beacons will be lit in the UK, overseas territories and around the Commonwealth. Other official events include the Thanksgiving service at St. Paul’s Cathedral on June 3, a party at the Palace on June 4, the Queen (with Adam Lambert), Alicia Keys and Sam Ryder of Eurovision, and a competition at Buckingham Palace on June 5. . The competition includes the River of Hope procession: 200 silk flags made and carried by the school’s students, based on the theme of the climate crisis and representing their aspirations for the next 70 years.
Picnic in the Park, Windsor
The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead is a major focal point for recreation centered on the Long Walk in Windsor Great Park. Events include beacon and fireworks on June 2, a concert at St. George’s Chapel on June 3, a free “Bring Your Picnic” Jubilee Party on June 4 – music, sports and cars for seven decades – and a big lunch on June 5.
1950s acquisition, Belfast
On June 4, the cultural venue is returning to Belfast in 1950 with 2 Royal Avenue art workshops, live music, storytelling, film screenings, photography exhibitions and dancing. The caf गर्नेछ has been serving rents for decades (free, some ticketed events). Elsewhere in the city, Jubilee beacons will be lit outside Titanic Belfast and City Hall, which will be lit in royal purple on June 5, will host tea dances.
Garden party, bath

Bath is taking things a step further, highlighting a host of purple landmarks in 2, including Paltney Bridge, Guildhall, Roman Baths and Abbey (free, 10 p.m.). Bath on the Beach opens on June 2 at Royal Victoria Park for the summer, and offers free pims on weekends (booking required). On 5 June there is a grand jubilee picnic on the lower lawn of the Royal Crescent, free face painting, children’s entertainers, and arts and crafts (free, 12-5 p.m.). The Royal Crescent Hotel and Spa is throwing a garden party with afternoon tea, live music and lawn games (£ 55).
Double Deckchair, York

York is bidding for the most bunting on bank holidays: the city center will be more than two miles away. In St. Sampson Square, record footage of the Queen’s visit to the north will be shown on the big screen, with daily screenings of the animated film The Queen’s Corgi (June 2-4). Other green spaces around the city will have huge Union Jack deckchairs, large enough for two, including Dean Park, St. Anthony’s Gardens and Museum Gardens. The York Racecourse includes more than 40 merchants, DJs, bands, vintage funfairs, beacon lighting and large jubilee lunches at the Spring Fair and Food Festival. There is a celebration service on June 4 in Minster, York; A jubilee outdoor market at Carlton Towers, including Pimm’s and Strawberry and Cream at 4; And lots of gin flavors at the York gin store (June 2-5).
Announcements and castles, Norwich

Town crews will read the Queen’s proclamation as beacons are burned in the cities of Norwich and Norfolk on June 2. The Chantry Place Shopping Center is being transformed into the Chantry Palace for the weekend, with royal guards, thrones and red carpets on sentry duty, and a Corgi-themed Family Trail (June 2-5). At Norwich Cathedral, Handel’s coronation anthem is performed on June 4 (£ 15 for adults / £ 5 for children). The Assembly Room is serving the Queen’s Favorite Afternoon Tea, which includes a chocolate biscuit cake crowned with gold leaf (£ 24.95, up to 30 June).
Bands and beers, Bristol

Bristol is hosting a big Jubilee Lunch all day on June 5 at College Green, with activities including live music and making Royal Paper Flotilla while raising money for local food charities (free). A pub in Clifton, The Mall hosts Platinum Fest on June 3, with live bands and food stalls (free, 1-10.30pm). The Berwick Lodge Hotel has a Platinum Jubilee afternoon tea party with a pianist, Berwick back off, a garden tour and more (from £ 29.95). The new Bedminster Beer Trail Bank holiday weekend begins – drinkers collect tickets from independent pubs, bars and breweries to claim free festive beer at the Bristol Beer Factory Tap Room (June 2-5).
Palaces and castles

Many palaces and palaces in the UK are hosting special events. In Hampton Court Palace In south-west London, there is Jubilee Just in the Garden where the Knights will compete for the Jubilee Cup (June 1-5, included in the standard entry price).
Exhibition in this year’s ballroom Balmoral Palace Aberdeenshire features the Queen’s final birthday dress, and the coffee shop is serving special afternoon tea (£ 15 entry + £ 30 for afternoon tea, June 2-5).

Cardiff Castle Bonnie Tyler (£ 32.50 adults, kids free) is hosting a Platinum Jubilee Concert on June 4 with singers, orchestras and singers.
In Lincoln CastleVisitors can join the Great British Jubilee Picnic on the grounds, with entertainment from the Palace Bandstand (free, June 2-5).
Gala Concert, Birmingham
The City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra is performing a program of performances by John Suchet, featuring coronation music, works dedicated to the Queen and Princess Margaret, music from across the Commonwealth, and the Queen’s favorite tunes (from June 2, £ 13). Other events in Birmingham include a four-day celebration in Victoria Square, including family games, a fun fair and live music (June 2-5).
Great British Band, Skegness and Mablethorpe
The two Lincolnshire seaside resorts, Skagness and Mablethorpe, Coldplay, Spice Girls, Oasis, The Beatles, Madness and, of course, British bands formed during the Queen’s reign are celebrating. Concerts, which are free, will begin at 4:00 pm and all bands will play at both venues. The events end at 10pm with a fireworks display on the beach.
Flotilla, Humber estuary
A fleet of 70 ships will parade from Hall’s Victoria Pier to Humber Bridge on June 2, including pleasure boats, harbor tugs, a lifeboat and a trawler. View points (free) include the ferry to the hall and the St. Andrews Quay; Water’s Edge Country Park in Barton-up-Humber; And Hesley Foreshore. The incident re-enacts the 2012 Humber Flotilla, celebrating the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, in turn based on 1897 for Queen Victoria. Work begins at 3 pm with a family gala at Hesley, followed by an evening flotilla and a national lamp lighting at 9:45 pm.
Platinum Street Party, Bishop Auckland
Bishop Auckland, County Durham’s 11 Arches Park claims to be one of the largest jubilee street parties in the country (June 4). The afternoon begins with a family-friendly story with an Equine stunt show, Fina and the Golden Cape, jostling, trick-riding, vaulting and chariot-racing. The event is followed by live music on the lake and a huge party, with seats for 2,500 people inside and outside the Arch Hall. Guests can choose from outdoor communal tables (£ 30 adults / £ 20 kids) or a three-course indoor dinner and wine (£ 59). There are themed bars, open-air dancefloors, live broadcasts of the Jubilee concert and for the finals, light and water shows with fireworks.
Manchester flower show

This urban flower show (June 2-5, free) is based on this year’s Jubilee-themed, with citywide floral tributes. The Queen’s Jubilee Trail has 10 commercial displays ranging from a giant queen bee to a floral representation of crown gems. There are lots of exhibits on the shop windows, doors and plants, with flowers, by artists and community groups, on topics including Queen’s Gambit. The Fringe Festival features alternative performances at places such as Noma, the Science and Industry Museum, First Street and the Great Northern Warehouse, as well as sex-pistol-inspired punk poses. There will be outdoor pop-ups at bars and restaurants, and there will be floral cocktail crawls around 10 locations: Harvey Nicholas x Manchester gin at Summer Garden Spritz appropriately celebrating sounds (Raspberry gin and Rose Vermouth, £ 8).
Exmouth Festival, Devon
The Exmouth Festival (free, June 2-5), which usually takes place in May, is the year to stop joining the jamboree. Scheduled Jubilee Day which is 5th. There will be large jubilee lunches, a communal art endeavor, circus skill workshops, and theater and live music, including jazz and swing. Elsewhere in Exmouth, the Exmouth Pavilion (June 2, £ 17) has a big band concert and a Jubilee Beacon Trail around town.
Jubilee Elgar Festival, Worcester and Malwaran
The Elgar Festival will feature concerts, street demonstrations, talks and workshops in Worcester and Malvern (June 3-5, ticketed). It includes music associated with the Queen, including Elgar’s Nursery Suite and Van Williams’ Te Dame, and is performed by the English Symphony Orchestra and the Elgar Festival Chorus at Worcester Cathedral. Other performances include an introduction to Elgar and an English string orchestra playing Allegro; And Elgar Family Concert for All; And Jubilee Process Tea Party and Swing Concert at Henry Sandon Hall.
Blenheim Palace Food Festival, Oxfordshire
The food festival (£ 20.50, from 2-5 June) coincides with the Jubilee this year, so the usual guest chefs (Raymond Blanc, Gennaro Cantaldo), masterclasses (pasta making, cocktail-mixing), stallholders, streets. Food and bars, there is a special jubilee garden. Looking at lollipops, vintage vocal trios, and resident brass bands, there’s a place to eat pints, some fizz or cream tea.
Corgis and Cupcake, Warwick
Market Square is the focal point of the June 2 celebration in Warwick, featuring decades of free live music, classic cars and a steam train. Food and beverages are available from local businesses, including picnic boxes. School children bake jubilee-themed cupcakes and cookies for the cake competition, with winners announced at the event. Finally, there’s a Wiggle of Corgis: families can find Corgis stickers on shop windows around town that lead to Jubilee – and the real things that are wagging their tails in the square during the day.
