Exercises with resistance strips they have experienced a rise in popularity since people started exercising from home thanks closure due to coronavirus. As many gyms and fitness centers remained closed, exercisers flocked to simple space-saving methods to stay fit and healthy at home.
Resistance strap training was of interest because the straps themselves are cheap compared to kettlebells and dumbbells. They also do not take up as much space as most exercise equipment, are not loud (which makes them perfect for the residents of the apartments on the top floor) and are versatile. Exercising the resistance bar can target the upper body, lower body, core and more, and it is easy to raise the resistance level and build strength.
There are many options for resistance tapes (you can buy pipe resistance tape, fabric resistance tape, mini tape, loop tape, strength tape and many others for different types of exercises), but to be honest, the best resistance tapes are all of which you can currently find without a 15-week order.
Fortunately, there are currently several sets of good exercise tapes online. If you want to improve your home gym and work out a new or two muscle group, this article lists the best resistance strips you can currently buy without waiting for weeks. Just know that while we will do our best to update this, prices and availability may change.

Beautiful
Since everything is smart these days, it should come as no surprise that there is a set of smart resistance strips available to fitness enthusiasts. I tried the Hyfit Gear One and was honestly surprised at how much I enjoyed using it for resistance training. It seemed a bit deceptive to me, but these resistance strips actually work really well.
The Hyfit Gear One includes a pair of tubular resistance straps, a wrist and ankle cuff, a wall anchor, a door anchor and a pair of handles. It is really suitable for any use because not only can you attach straps to a door or wall, but you can use your body to create resistance.
Adjusting the straps is also super simple: just press the little red adjustment button to shorten or lengthen them. Between the wrist and ankle straps, the door and wall anchors and the adjusting mechanism, you may never need another set of resistance straps.
Resistance strips contain sensors that monitor your reps, volume (total weight lifted) and calories burned. When you pair the straps with your phone and download the Hyfit app, this data is collected automatically and you can easily track your resistance tape exercises.
For me, the smart aspect is just a bonus – the very concept of wearable resistance tape would be enough to convince me to buy this. When I’m able to hit the road or camp again, I pack my Gear One so I can easily get into a quick workout on the go without having to pull a 40-pound weightlifter.
If the kit sells out on Amazon, you can always buy it directly from the company. Direct purchase gives you the option to pay $ 15 per month with $ 0 down, and the monthly fee includes the cost of a premium Hyfit fitness membership.

BC Strength
If you are looking for prey tape for your exercise routine, stop here. Just one of these mini strips by Bret Contreras (known on Instagram as “Glute Guy”) will last you for years due to the tightly woven, high quality construction. Contreras has popularized the hip push-up exercise and the glute training concept and, as a certified strength and fitness specialist with a PhD in sports science, I believe his mini resistance strips work.
I also know they work because I’ve been using them for the last seven months and they were the saviors of my gluteus and tendon strength during the coronavirus pandemic. I used these mini resistance strips to make a few exercises more challenging, including squats with body weights and hip push-ups, deadlifts and dumbbell swings. I also used them intensively for gluten-focused exercises, such as ass kicks and hip abductions.
You can buy Bret Contreras glute Loops in two sizes (small to medium and large to extra large) and in three levels of resistance (light, medium and strong, marked as one, two and three on the strips). I ordered a complete band because I wasn’t sure what to expect, and I’m glad I did. I used all six gluten loops for various exercises and repetition patterns. I tend to use one loop more than any other, so most people would probably be okay to order just one glute loop.

Rogue
After visiting many CrossFit gyms, I used my fair share of Rogue resistance strips (Rogue is the preferred supplier of functional fitness equipment). Rogue Monster Bands make the best of the best in resistance bands. They come in different levels of resistance and are made of thick, durable natural latex rubber.
The big problem with resistance strips is that they wear out significantly over time and, compared to iron or steel weights, do not last long at all. I’ve seen these Rogue bands in use for years, first hand, and they never seem to show any signs of wearing.
Rogue has been struggling with its supply chain for the past few months, so if you’re interested in Monster Bands, I’d buy them while you can. The complete set of belts is not in stock, but you can choose individual belts.
I would recommend Monster Bands to anyone who wants to use resistance strips to build muscle, because they have a resistance of up to 200 pounds – much higher than the strongest resistance belt of most other brands.
You can also look at Rogue Echo Bands, which are slightly cheaper than Monster Bands. They look a little less durable, but would be more than enough for the average exerciser who exercises at home. Echo Bands were not in stock at the time of writing, but you can sign up to receive notification when Rogue stock is picked up again.

FitCord
These durable FitCord resistance straps have one or two punches when it comes to longevity. As I mentioned earlier, the resistance strips wear out over time. It’s just a fact about the product. However, you can maximize the life of your resistance strips by choosing the right type.
Made of dipped latex – the most durable material for resistance tapes – FitCord X-Over resistance tapes have a crumpled nylon protective cover that protects the latex underneath from UV damage and weather. The sleeve also protects you in case the tape breaks during use, but this is unlikely with a dipped latex-resistant tape.
FitCord makes X-Over straps of resistance up to 55 pounds, which is enough for the average person who wants to exercise with resistance straps.

TheraBand
If you are allergic to latex, exercising with resistant straps may seem impossible. The options are definitely reduced when you filter with “non-latex”, but if you look closely enough, you can find some latex resistant strips.
TheraBand is known for its professional rehabilitation equipment, including resistant straps, kinesiology tape, foam rollers, muscle pads and stability balls. The latex-free professional set includes three resistance straps that provide up to seven pounds of resistance.
As a bonus, this set comes with basic exercise instructions written by a physiotherapist, making it a good option for people who aren’t sure where to start with resistance strips.
I would not recommend these TheraBand resistance strips to advanced exercisers who want to use resistance strips for intense exercise or to build muscle. Because these tapes are primarily intended for rehabilitation, they provide minimal resistance and are best suited for beginners or people working around injuries.
