Best Shaving Club for 2022: Dollar Shave Club, Harry’s and More

Posted on June 18, 2022 By admin No Comments on Best Shaving Club for 2022: Dollar Shave Club, Harry’s and More

If you continue to buy razors at the pharmacy, you are missing out. There are much better quality products available through an online subscription to a shaving club, and they are usually cheaper.

Most of these services are not limited to razors – shaving gel, shaving butter, body wash gel, aloe vera, shea butter and aftershave for sensitive skin are among the shaving supplies that are often part of the arrangement. Including supplements such as shaving cream and gel, Dollar Shave Club, BillieHarry and other shaving subscriptions want to offer you more value than you set them up Subscribe and save on Amazon for your favorite barber of a famous brand.

And don’t assume that the shaving club is limited to guys. After all, women also shave, and many of these services offer products intended for both boys and girls.

Interested in giving up your disposable pharmacy barber for a monthly barber subscription? This guide will help you choose the best shaving club. We will update this list from time to time.

Dollar Shave Club

One of the original razor subscription services, known for the viral video from 2012, Dollar Shave Club razors offer three razor options for your daily shave: two-blade, four-blade and six-blade. All are under $ 9 per month for replacement blades and one-time lunch costs.

The Dollar Shave brand started out just as a shaving subscription brand, and has now expanded to several lines of men’s care products, including skin care, hair care, fragrances, deodorants, shaving and oral care.

For your first order, Dollar Shave Club invites you to purchase a starter pack, which includes two replacement cartridge refills, a handle and shaving butter for $ 5. After two weeks, you will automatically receive a delivery of four razor blades and shaving butter for about $ 25 (or more if you add additional products). You can also customize your initial Dollar Shave set and restocking shipments to include body washes, face washes, shampoo, aftershave, toothpaste and toothbrush.

Although the Dollar Shave brand is intended for men, in the past I have bought and used Dollar Shave Club razors and they have done well for ingrown hairs on my legs and underarms.

Harry’s

Harry’s focuses on simplicity, style and higher quality workmanship for his shaving and care products. There are only two handles to choose from for their men’s razors and one type of shaving pad. His Winston handle is metal with non-slip rubber handles for $ 20. For $ 9 you can get Truman, which has a full rubber coating and comes in orange, navy blue and green.

Like Dollar Shave Club, Harry’s has a starter pack of basic shaving products for $ 5 that comes with one shaving cartridge and shaving gel. With a subscription to Harry’s shave club, you get eight new cartridges for $ 15 (plus a shaving gel for an extra $ 6), every two, three or five months, depending on how often you shave.

In addition to blades, Harry’s also sells facial cleansers, aftershaves, soaps and other body care products.

PS I also used Harry’s razors with good shaving results. If you really want a women’s shaving razor, Harry owns a brand called Flamingo that sells them, but doesn’t offer subscription boxes. The flaming razor has an ergonomic handle and a rubber holder for easy shaving.

Billie

Billie’s ambition as a shaving club is to provide quality women’s razors and body care products that cost no more than men’s. Women’s personal care and shaving products are often subject to the “pink tax”, which means that they cost more simply because they are sold to women.

The brand sells one style of razor, available in five colors worthy of Instagram. It has five blades and a strip of charcoal soap around the blades to make the razor glide more easily for a comfortable shave.

Billie’s $ 10 starter kit includes a handle, two cartridges and a magnetic razor storage holder in the shower. The company then sends you four replacement cartridges a month (or any frequency you choose to refill the blade), which also costs $ 10. Billie also sells body lotion, body wash cream and shaving cream.

What I especially like about this company is that it celebrates and normalizes body hair, whether you decide to shave or not, with your Project Body Hair campaign. Anyone can send a photo of their body hair, and you can see photos of others who have contributed. In a society that often demonizes any physical flaw on women, this approach is genuinely refreshing.

Bevel

Coarse facial hair can be difficult to shave, but curly or curly hair is even harder. Bevel’s shaving kit is designed for colored men, to meet their specific skin and shaving needs.

The shaving kit mimics what you would see in a barber shop, with a shaving brush, skin oil, shaving cream and aftershave. All of these skin products have moisturizing oils that prevent bumps, razor burns and ingrown hairs on the face and neck.

When it comes to hair removal only, use a single-blade safety razor instead of a multi-blade cartridge. The complete set costs $ 90, and Bevel will send you a supplement of razor, oil, shaving cream and balm.

Supply

For men who like to shave with a flat razor or who consider themselves a bit of a hipster, there is the Supply razor. This elegant single-edged razor is made of aviation stainless steel and uses injector-style blades that are easy to change. Its unique design helps to separate it from a typical safety razor. Oh, and this high-quality razor has a 100-year warranty.

Why yes, of course there is a starter set. Includes three-month razor blade handle, shaving brush, shaving cream and aftershave lotion for $ 99. It costs $ 59 for the razor alone, and the new blades are $ 8 for eight blades – which the company says will take you months.

Like the Bevel, the Supply single-edged razor is designed to reduce skin irritation, bumps, ingrown hairs and razor burns. Its unique, high-quality design helps it stand out from the typical safety razor.

Yes, those prices are high, but Supply is offering you a 100-day trial. If you don’t like it after you try it, you can get a refund.

Supply also sells several supplements. For $ 39 you can get a beautiful, albeit superfluous, leather case.

Ah, yes, Gillette. I bet you used one of his razors in your life. In response to all of these barber subscriptions that have emerged in recent years, Gillette also offers its own shaving club to help you save money.

The shaving subscription offers three starter kits for men:

  • SkinGuard – $ 19 to replenish one razor and four blades
  • Mach3 – $ 16 to replenish one razor and four blades
  • Planet Kind – $ 20 to replenish one razor and eight blades

These prices are actually competitive with Amazon, at least for some of the products, and don’t offer all Gillette refills on Amazon Subscribe and Save. If you really want to “set it up and forget” with your razors, Gillette On Demand is not a bad job.

Oh, and for the ladies, you can get Gillette’s Venus razor on request. For $ 7 you get a free handle, a blade insert, plus a shower gel and a shower hook. Refills – which also include four cartridges – cost $ 18. You can sign up for these updates every month, every three months, or every six.
