One of the most appropriate advances in Apple’s iPhone technology in recent years has been the MagSafe fast charge feature. Using magnets, iPhone MagSafe chargers attach easilyi models. In addition to the charger, there are other accessories that use the magnetic back of these phones.
There are several MagSafe-enabled wireless charging options – not just Apple’s – on our list(For the iPhone 12, we’re working on reviewing items for our updated iPhone 13 list). But this best list refers to wireless MagSafe chargers that allow fast Qi wireless charging. To this end, a few things should be kept in mind:
- A true MagSafe wireless charger will give you the potential for the fastest wireless charging speed (up to 15 W instead of 7.5 W or 10 W supplied by some chargers) on iPhones.
- The official MagSafe products – the ones blessed by Apple – include a Made for MagSafe badge on the box. However, many other manufacturers have created magnetic wireless chargers that look and feel like MagSafe accessories. These MagSafe copiers are also far more affordable than the official MagSafe offerings, but here’s the catch: they offer less powerful charging (limited to 7.5 watts). We’ve included these unofficial products on this list, but know that they’ll only charge half as fast (for the iPhone), even if they’re capable of wirelessly charging certain Android smartphones up to 15 watts, as long as they support the level of fast wireless charging.
- To get that maximum power, you’ll need a 20-watt USB-C PD charger – ideally one with Power Delivery 3.0 certification. (iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro Max, and iPhone 13 Mini include USB-C to the Lightning cable in the box, but not the charger.) Some companies offer packages that include a MagSafe wireless USB charging pack. C power adapter while others, like Apple, also sell the power adapter separately.
- Most MagSafe chargers (automatic and MagSafe certified) will charge other Qi compatible devices, such as select older iPhones and Android phones. You just won’t get magnetic adhesion.
- If you also need to get a charger, our list there are plenty of options. This will, of course, also work for wired charging – which will always be faster than MagSafe or other wireless charging options.
Please note that I have personally, if anecdotally, used all of the products listed below. Again, an unofficial MagSafe device offering is fine if you don’t care about charging speed, for example if you’re charging overnight.
The best magnetic wireless chargers
They will be magnetically attached to iPhone 13 models compatible with MagSafe, but not MagSafe certified. As such, they will only charge iPhones with a maximum of 7.5 watts (and a few charge only 5 watts).

MyCharge calls its new line of magnetic batteries Superhero MagLock, implying that they are the real saviors. I was impressed with their design. Not only do the batteries, which come in different capacities, have strong magnets and stick very well to the back of your iPhone 12 or 13, but they also have raised coils, which should help reduce heat levels during charging. It seems to work.
The photo shows a 3000 mAh battery. It is light and thin and it is nice to have it nearby for emergency charging. However, it won’t allow you to fully charge, so you may want to switch to one of the higher-capacity options like the 6,000 mAh model that sells for $ 60. The 9,000 mAh version is powerful and it looks like your phone is attached to a small brick. The battery and the phone fit nicely in the hand, but the combination is certainly not suitable for a pocket.
All MagLock batteries charge iPhones that support Qi at 5 watts, although you can achieve faster charging if you get wired and use a USB-C to Lightning cable. I also liked how the bell sounds when charging starts and your phone tells you how much juice is left in the battery (it’s related to iOS15).
SuperHero MagLock is available in several colors and has a nice glossy finish. At the moment, it is the best designed magnetic battery – even better than Apple’s.

Mophie’s magnetic battery is similar to Anker’s, but has a more refined design. Like the Anker, this isn’t an official Apple MagSafe accessory, but it magnetically sticks to the back of your iPhone 13 model or MagSafe case – yes, it sticks nicely – and is sleek for a 5000 mAh battery. It can also be used with other phones that support wireless charging as it comes with a gluing magnet.
Wireless charging speeds are limited to 7.5 W for the iPhone, but if you need faster charging, you can connect USB-C to the Lightning cable to increase the speed to 12 W. This has enough power to fully charge the iPhone 13 or 13 Pro once , but will be a little less than a full charge with the iPhone 13 Max Pro. I liked it.
This is Anker’s look at Apple’s MagSafe wireless charger. This MagSafe, on the other hand, costs about half the price, but only charges up to 7.5 watts with iPhones (the white version costs a few dollars more than the black version). AC adapter not included.
This RAVPower combination includes magnetic wireless charging with a 20-watt mini PD power adapter. The wireless charging pack and wall adapter are listed for $ 30, but are now on sale for $ 21 when you enter the code RPC2 on departure.

The Anchor PowerCore Magnetic 5K magnetically clings to the back of your iPhone 13 model or MagSafe case and charges your phone wirelessly. Unfortunately, it doesn’t offer fast wireless charging – it only charges 5 watts, not even 7.5. But it is convenient and quite compact. It also adheres well. I prefer the competing model from Mophie a bit because it is a bit thinner.

iOttie has rolled out a nice MagSafe compatible wireless car charger with a car ventilation bracket. It has a strong magnet so your iPhone stays on the cradle, and it also has an integrated USB-C cable and a power adapter for the lighter so you’re ready to start charging out of the box. Note that the iPhone’s “fast” charge is 7.5 watts (this is designed for iPhones and cases equipped with MagSafe).
Many of the chargers you’ll see for the latest iPhone have your phone laid out, which may not be ideal if you’re charging at a desk or if you’re charging while watching a video on your phone. The Moko Armor charger includes a small stand that you can use to hold the phone on the charging stand at an angle while it is horizontal, and at a fairly cheap price.

The Mophie Snap Plus 15W wireless charging cradle is a magnetic cradle that comes with an integrated USB-C cable (the charging pack can be removed from the cradle, but the cable is integrated into the pack). It also comes with a cigarette lighter adapter and a magnetic ring that you can stick on the back of phones that don’t have MagSafe enabled, including Android models. I tried it with a MagSafe case on my iPhone and the phone stuck well to the holder. However, the magnet is not super strong and I would not recommend it for heavier phones like the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. But overall, it’s an attractively designed accessory.
It can wirelessly charge Android models at speeds of up to 15 watts, but with iPhone’s wireless charging a maximum of 7.5 watts.
Basically, MagSafe chargers simply take up space when they are not charging anything. Tylt decided to change things up a bit with his new Bowl charger. In the middle of the container is a stand with a MagSafe charger on top, which magnetically holds your phone in place. It is open everywhere in the container and you can put whatever you want in it. Coins, keys and other metal items can safely enter without interrupting charging. And, to be honest, it looks a lot nicer than most other chargers.
When it comes to external batteries, Anker strives to create reliable products. But if you’re willing to go for a more generic option, you can save some money by using the iWalk Magnetic Wireless Power Bank, which costs $ 30 to $ 35 or about $ 15 less than Anker’s magnetic power bank. This iWalk is a little bigger and heavier than the Anker option. It’s a 6,000 mAh battery (instead of 5,000 mAh), but it offers a slightly faster charge – the iWalk claims up to 7.5 watts for the iPhone – and the ring offers some security when you hold the phone and also turns into a charging cradle for watching videos, which is nice.
The best official MagSafe chargers
This is the real thing and will charge iPhone 13 models with a full 15 watts (when paired with a 20-watt USB-C charger or better that has Power Delivery 3.0).

As its name suggests, the Belkin Boost Up Charge Pro 3-in-1 wireless charger with MagSafe performs a triple function, wirelessly charging your iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPods at the same time (your iPhone will start charging with 15 watts even with your clock and charging AirPods headset). The charging pad / charging stand isn’t cheap at $ 150, but it’s one of the few MagSafe three-in-one chargers currently available.
Belkin also produces a two-in-one wireless charger with MagSafe for $ 100 that is designed to charge your iPhone and AirPods at the same time.
This is the official MagSafe charger made by Apple directly. It’s unclear if its charging cable is better than the cheaper options of Aukey, RAVPower and others, but the wireless charging pad looks nice in silver and white. The power adapter is not included.

Belkin’s Car Vent Mount Pro with MagSafe is not technically a charger. It is only a certified MagSafe car ventilation bracket. Belkin will soon have this version of wireless charging (it costs $ 60), but you will still need to connect a cable to it for charging. The advantage of the wireless version would be that unlike this ventilation bracket, you would not have to plug the cable into the phone every time you want to charge it (I have a USB-C-to-Lightning cable installed in the car for fast charging, but not i like the extra step of having to plug in the cable every time i want to charge the phone).
All that said, what sets this Belkin apart from other non-MagSafe-certified generic carriers that look similar (and some even offer wireless charging), is that Belkin has a very strong magnet while many of these other ventilation mounts don’t have t. If you have a MagSafe case on your phone (or just a bare newer iPhone model), the phone really sticks to the holder. The clamp also securely holds the bracket in your vent and you can rotate the bracket from portrait to landscape mode as needed.

Apple’s MagSafe Duo charger is designed to charge your iPhone and Apple Watch at the same time. What’s nice about it is that the charging pad folds in, reducing its footprint by half, making it a nice travel charger for your iPhone and Apple Watch. It doesn’t come with a charging adapter – which is pretty ridiculous at this price – although the USB-C-to-Lightning cable is included. You should pair this with a 20-watt USB-C power adapter for maximum charging speeds.
